On Dancing

Many years ago, in Berlin, an actress took me to the zoo, where she wanted to show me the tigers. When preparing for a role, I come here, she said, and try to immerse myself into the movements of the tigers for they do effortlessly what I want to learn.

Of this I felt reminded when I recently watched a video of running horses for they did it so elegantly that I thought of dancing. Well, it was more than just a passing thought, it was a sensation that I experienced and that, a few days later, when on a morning walk; I sort of started to copy. 

Needless to say, I wasn't exactly dancing on the street. This isn't what you do in Switzerland. But the images of the running horses made me walk with easiness, and with joy. For some moments, that is.
